Belinda Howie BAcc. FCPA JP MAICD
Belinda is a born and raised Territorian, originally from Alice Springs. Belinda now calls Darwin home after spending time in picturesque Gove. She understands the challenges of conducting business in the Territory’s challenging economical and geographically remote environments.
Belinda’s financial management knowledge comes from having successfully completed a Bachelor of Accountancy at the University of South Australia. She holds the elite Fellow status with CPA Australia and serves an NT President of CPA. Belinda developed her best practice financial and accounting skills and experience while working for large corporations. These include as an auditor for one of the Big 4 accounting firms Price Waterhouse, Senior Finance Executive at global fuel giant Shell, and Executive Chief Financial Officer and Group Company Secretary with Darwin based shipping company Perkins.
She began consulting in the SME sector following the sale of Perkins to Toll. She has since been an integral advisor in several other business sales and mergers for Territory based businesses. Her company Northern Sky provides a fully integrated Accounting, Corporate Governance and Advisory services to clients with a genuine interest in building strong sustainable businesses.
She also serves on many private and community based boards applying her expert knowledge of best practice corporate governance and financial management skills. Belinda specialises in using her knowledge, skills and experience from the large corporate sector to assist Territory small and medium businesses and organisations develop, grow and prosper. Many business owners in this market sector find financial management and business improvement challenging.
Belinda delivers individually tailored services which break complex business concepts into achievable strategies and systems easily implemented to improve business performance and profitability.

Belinda Howie has an impressive history in financial management and business improvement, starting her career in audit with Price Waterhouse, before moving into commerce to work for global fuel giant Shell as a Financial Controller.
At the pinnacle of her corporate career as Executive Chief Financial Officer she steered shipping giant Perkins through the largest sale of a Territory-based company, acquired by Toll Group.
“As CFO of Perkins, I was dealing with high demand investment bankers to achieve significant outcomes and investment return for the Territory based business,” recalls Belinda. “It was an intense role, and professionally very rewarding.”
Meet our Management Accountant:
Bronwyn McRostie BAcc. CPA
Bronwyn has called Darwin home for the last 18 years.
Feeling that she required more knowledge to build the business, she under took a Batchelor of Accounting at Charles Darwin University part-time, completing the degree in 2015. The study increased and cemented the financial knowledge gained in running the business and built a desire to help other small business and not-for-profit organisations to grow.
Bronwyn has been on many committees during the 20 years she has been in Darwin, more often than not as the Treasurer. She is currently Treasurer of the Lions Beer Can Regatta, Nightcliff Lions Club and the 2018 Lions Convention. She is also a board member of the Community Benefits Funds Committee and committee member of Palmerston Regional Business Association.
She has worked with a number of commercial and community based organisations since finishing her degree, including Danila Dilba, Chartair, and Darwin Shipstores.
She is very happy to have joined the NSAA team, with the culture and organisation’s goals aligning with hers.

Meet our Bookkeeper:
Farha Mukhi ASA
Originally hailing from the India, now a proud Territorian. Mukhi brings a wealth of bookkeeping, accounting and administration experience to the Northern Sky team.
The highlight of Makhi’s career was be the 3 years working at The Precinct Tavern & The Coffee Club, both well-established business in the hospitality industry. Mukhi has become highly skilled at ‘changing hats’ very quickly.
Mukhi loves the challenges and diversity that Northernsky clients offer and relishes the opportunity to broaden her horizons working with the NSAA team.
